Gemma Galeoto

Gemma joined The Barking Project’s Board of Directors in 2024, driven by a deep passion for animal welfare and a commitment to doing everything we can to save Texas dogs. Professionally, she is a business litigation attorney at Calhoun, Bhella, and Sechrest.

Outside of her legal practice, she dedicates time to supporting rescue efforts and occasionally fostering dogs with several organizations, including The Love Pit, Dogs Matter, and Dallas Animal Services. She loves animals and is grateful for every opportunity to help them find safe, loving homes. Pictured here is her last foster fail, GiGi – a beloved 15-year-old who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2025 – on their road trip to Telluride.
